After passing a whole-day audit last 13 May 2016, Servicio Filipino continues to be an ISO certified organization under the ISO 9001:2008 criteria.
On the said date, Mr. Renato G. Madrid, Jr. of Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIP) conducted Servicio Filipino’s 1st Surveillance Audit – 5th cycle for the second half of Fiscal Year 2015 – 2016.
The Surveillance Audit aimed to evaluate and determine if SFI’s Management System still lives up to the standards of the ISO 9001:2008, thereby resulting in either withdrawal or continuation of the company’s certification.
From 9:00AM to 5:00PM, SFI’s component departments came under the scrutiny of Mr. Madrid who served as external auditor from the CIP. The Facilities Cleaning Services and Property Management Services were assessed from 9:15AM, followed by Technical Recruitment & Staffing and Engineering & Technical Services at 10:15AM.
SFI’s Customer Satisfaction & Feedback process was scrutinized at 11:15AM towards the noon break. The assessment resumed at 1:00PM with the audit of the Maintenance Services.
By 2:00PM, Mr. Madrid had moved to an examination of the Internal Quality Audit process, with an inspection of progress made towards resolving any instances of non-compliance identified during previous audits.
At 3:00PM the Management Review commenced, followed by Mr. Madrid’s preparation of his audit report. He summarily discussed his report to the SFI leadership between this time and 5:00PM.
The report by Mr. Madrid reflected the resolution of 2 minor non-compliance cases from the previous year’s audit. With this matter being settled, the audit report also indicated a satisfactory assessment of SFI’s processes under its Quality Management System. While an instance of non-compliance was identified regarding an overdue corrective action report, Mr. Madrid indicated that per the audit process this would be considered minor and therefore not grounds for the discontinuation of SFI’s certification. In addition, the company was given an opportunity to resolve the said minor case.
Overall, SFI had passed the Surveillance Audit and its ISO 9001:2008 certification will be retained.
The SFI leadership made this achievement known to the greater majority of the company’s employees during the weekly Monday Briefing last 16 May 2016.
