It was indeed a day of celebration last Tuesday for Servicio Filipino Inc., as the Investors in People recognized SFI with their Gold Certification during its 6th IiP Concourse held last July 26, 2016, at the PCAS Auditorium of the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City. With the theme of “Purpose and Values-Driven Cultures”, the concourse recognized IiP certification awardees with SFI the only Gold Certified Company for the year. Other awardees include the Lopez Holdings Corporation, Watsons Personal Care Stores (Phils) Inc., and the First Philippine Industrial Park.

Participants learned much from the sharing of the different awardees. Present were Mr. David Dale, the Managing Director of IiP International, as well as representatives of South Cotabato Integrated Port Services Inc., winner of the Investors in People Gold Employer of the Year Award for 2016. Each of the awardees for the concourse also presented their best Talent Management practices and their journey towards receiving their certifications, including our very own President and CEO, Mr. Luis Alberto Anastacio, who relayed SFI’s Journey to the Gold Certification.

Mr. Anastacio elaborated how SFI’s IiP Journey came about, starting with the 2020 Vision of the Company, as well as the transformation of each and every one inside the company. It was shown how the programs and activities truly invested in people and became a habit for everyone, making the Gold Certification a validation of our nature as a company who invests in its people. Mr. Anastacio also showed and discussed the different advocacies that really make SFI stand out from the rest, including the Philippine TalentMap Iniative, LEAP, LEAD, and UpSkill.

Our Board of Directors, including Mr. Anastacio, Chairman Estrellita Anastacio, Treasurer Vivian Anastacio-Guerrero, Vice Chairman Rolando Antonio, and Senior Vice President Gaudencio Infante graced the event. SFI’s Executive Committee was also present: Bataan Business Unit Head Ariel R. Fernandez, VP for Operations Domingo Basilio R. Navera, VP for Finance Magnolia Nemil, AVP for HRAD Imelda A. Liwag-Nacatab, Marketing, Sales and Business Development Senior Manager Mark P. Siazon. Also in attendance was SFI’s Corporate Trainer Shayma Cadapan who, together with Ms. Nacatab, championed the IiP Certification of the company. Present from the other subsidiaries of the SFI Group were Mr. Andy Suarez and Ms. Virgette Corpuz of BusinessTrends, and Ms. Gina Jusay the SFI Career Center.

Without a doubt, the recognition that SFI received during the event is a testament of the Culture of Excellence that the company has established as one of its pillars. More so, it is a reflection of the values that have guided the company for 55 years, being truly a purposeful and values-driven company.
